Whats everyones favourite off the shelf?
Mine has to be Tescos Finest Oatmeal Batch loaf, its delicious and has a really light flavour to it unlike some of the other seeded loaves. No other supermarket seems to sell an equivalent.
Last few loaves have been Hovis: Granary White

and it isnt bad. If going for normal white bread the only stuff I like is Warburtons
I dont buy off the shelf bread as I have to have gluten free stuff and it generally tastes hideous.
ARGH!! Hovis is the evil dough mixture of doom!!!
1/4 bread 3/4 holes and tears!! Grr!!
Kingsmill clearly is the winning choice! :ptu:
Bakers bread, srsly. Its about the same money as hovis or whatever but tastes so much nicer and you can cut it to whatever thickness you want.
the big round ones from my local bakers
The Co-Op sells some French Cuisine stuff thats really nice, bit pricey but worth it.
French stick from pretty much anywhere, put 6 fish fingers in it.
Love a fresh (still warm) french stick
Kingsmill Farmhouse medium
Yes it must be said a good French stick is always legendary.
Warburtons Multsieed, but quite expensive at £1.34, but worth it.
Tescos off the shelf finest is a lovely piece of bread.. Its like chocolate. Just melts in your mouth
personally I love the Tesco fresh bloomer with some lurpak on it ... I can just east an entire loaf!
