My house is very humid and its actually not needed much topping up, when I looked its sat just below 60% but there's little in there worth keeping now, I'll probably junk a lot of the old miniatures in there when I move and clean it out, make room for a decent purchase.

I tried the Guantanamera tonight, it was quite mild and a steady burn with no issues, went down well with whisky which is very smooth and light to begin with with a very strong finish, its got a nice lingering taste that could easily see you through a very full glass.

Coronas Especiales, Cuba.

I have four myself.

Rumour has it you're in for a treat there.

Awesome referencing!!
Career, Wife, Mortgage... my sig was better when it listed guitars and PC's and stuff!

Well, the missus got me a nice Humidor for Christmas, and started filling it and smoking them.

Got a few varieties in there; got these left:
10 x Romeo Y Julieta No.2
1 x Romeo Y Julieta No.1
1 x Romeo Y Julieta Short Churchills
1 x Romeo Y Julieta Cedros De Luxe No.1
1 x Cohiba Siglo V - Can't wait to smoke this one, but want to wait until summer.

Spend Christmas and New year in Slovakia, and went to a Havana Bar, and had this when I was there......very nice! Maybe the nicest I've had, but not sure the 'spec' of it

Off to Amsterdam in two week and Cigars are nice and cheap there. Any recommendations to buy/try?

I had a big old post typed up, then Firefox decided to crash as usual :disappointed:

You've got a good selection of R y J's in that humidor! The one you smoked looks Siglo II size to me but it's always hard to tell from photos, if you enjoyed that then the Siglo V should be well worth the wait for you, I like the Cohibas.

The gist of it was, you'll probably find the big export brands cheaper like H.Upmann/Diplomaticos/Montecristo, I'd aim to get some good prices on Diplomaticos.

Guantanameras are mild across the range so you should like them if you like the Romeo y Julietas. Punch will be stronger and Bolivar stronger still, but I would recommend picking these up if they appear wel priced too.

I would avoid non-Cuban's such as La Paz, etc as these are common and the quality just isn't the same.

Nice one, thanks a lot.

I'm going to get prices here, then compare the best deals when I'm over there.

I've had a few Montecristo before and enjoyed them, so will also give the H.Upmann and Diplomaticos a bash.

Diplomaticos and Montecristos are all produced by H.Upmann actually, it's just different types of cigar but also why they are so widely available/popular I guess.

I struggle to get diplos, only seen them at c-gars :(

Whenever I go abroad if I'm stocking up I stick to cristos, R&J, cohiba, upmanns and partagas are worth a shout, they seem to be available pretty much anywhere.

Oh and if you're abroad get some big boys in, like some R&J churchills as they're tons tons tons cheaper

I could have sworn I saw some Diplos in Amsterdam but I could easily be mixing them up with the Montecristos. The bigger cigars are definitely where the savings are to be made, treat yourself

Only place I saw with decent smokes was the airport, and the selection was a bit meh, I'd had a long weekend mind.

Mates 40th this weekend, he's a cigar man and is smoking a montecristo millenium Friday night  as the name suggests its been sat in his humidor for 11 years

I'm joining him with my modest El rey del mundo choix supreme, which has been in my humidor for a mere 4 years

Excellent stuff! I think I need to stash away a good one for the 30th/40th, I hope they've aged well

These get good reviews, although the 54s are apparently smoother

The behikes are relatively new aren't they?

I have a pair of Siglo VIs for my 30th this June, I think they've been in my humi for about 5 years, that should do  :yarr:

Early 2010 and limited availability due to the parts of the plant they use.
