I wouldn't mind having a small box of limited run cigars for special occasions.

I got the mailer about the behikes when they came out and tbh I didn't see them as much special, more of a cashin. I'd like to see something ltd modern by Montecristo and Diplomaticos but they don't seem to do many (if any recent) runs

Just had a bit of a shuffle, got some pics of the big boys.

They are monsters for sure, I've not had any of those size cigars in a long time. The divider would have to come out of my humidor I think ;D

I bet those Cohiba's taste good, they look good enough to eat :P

I'm joining him with my modest El rey del mundo choix supreme, which has been in my humidor for a mere 4 years

This is locked and loaded in my portable cigar tube, it smells bloody brilliant :D

Turns out I have some 07 ltd edition cigars, I thought they where just robustos, but it turns out they're el rey del mundo belicios sounds like they're a great smoke from reviews, though I only have 2  :-\

I had a siglo VI on my birthday a few years back, it had only matured about a year but was still very very bold, really strong flavours as you would expect with a cohiba, I can't remember much else other than it was spot on

Pretty much the last weekend of the summer boys and girls, smoke em if you got em

(armed with Cohiba Coronas Especiales for this evening)

Blast from the past here, much smoking going on this summer? in the rain?

I bumped this because.. well.. i'm thinking about giving it a bash.. cant hurt to try it right..

So having never smoked anything.. what would you recommend on the cigar front.. and where from?

Thinking about something like this.. http://www.cgarsltd.co.uk/cigar-gift-pack-upmann-corona-junior-gift-p-8077.html

Definitely a good shout there, I bought a box of upmann normal sized coronas duty free a few years back, very smooth easy smoke

TBH though I would try a local haberdashery first to have a nosey, if you have one :)

I agree there, can't go wrong with that choice I think, as long as you go for something light to ease you in. I always recommend Romeo y Julieta's too as they are light and smooth. Whatever you do make sure you get a real Cuban and not some harsh rubbish like a box of small Hamlets from the Tesco tabacco counter or such like.

Just remember not to be taking deep draws on the cigars, shouldn't be a problem for you as you won't have the habits of a smoker though. It's all about the taste. 8)

Slapped an order in for the above and a single tubed Romeo y Julieta No.3

Will soon see what all the fuss is about...

I've tried loads now since I started the thread, and mainly smoke Romeo y Julieta's due to price, as they are relatively cheap, but like Cohiba Siglo's a lot more, but there is the added cost. I haven't been too keen on the Montecristo's I've tried as they have seemed too harsh/bitter. A decent non-cuban cigar is a Rocky Patel 1990 too.

Have a look at http://www.thebackyshop.co.uk
