Quote from: DaveHad a 360 degree x-ray (which I never asked for at the start....) and it cost me £150 quid then the f**ker didnt even do the scale and polish bit at the end - apparently had to book another appointment with a hygienist for that and cost another £50 - so basically a total of £200 for something my NHS dentist back home would do for like £16 - originally I just wanted a quick checkup and polish!!!!!

count yourself lucky, I thought a London dentist would be much more....

my dentist is like the ninja of all dentists.... and you can tell by his prices / waiting list...

last time i went for a quick checkup, he ex-rayed me - just because he does every 2 years to check everything is ok, then with the normal 6 month checkup and a polish or whatever it is they do (tho he doesnt lower himself to that, sends you into the next room for the hygieniet).... £350 !!!

tho, to be fair, he does take his time... and its hard to explain, but you know that feeling you get when you talk to someone and you instantly realise that they really know there sh*t? (or teeth as the case may be) I always have that feeling when I see him.... and its not often I get that feeling :o

Hes a dentist though, you kind of expect him to know his sh*t when it comes to teeth. It would be like me going to a mechanic and getting that feeling. "Wow, he really knows about cars!"

Actually thats a bad example, half the time when you go to a garage you get the 18 year old scrote that will damage your alloys just getting the wheels off and doesnt know his arse from his elbow...
