Coke or Pepsi?

Random question, which do you think is better?

I wanted coke but we didnt have any left in the kitchen, and I wasnt about to go into the garage to get the other box, so I was forced to drink Pepsi ):

Now I remember why Id much rather drink sprite as a child

There is very little difference between the two, although pepsi is a little sweeter.

They did some blind trials and most people couldnt tell the difference.

I drink whatever is going, including cheapo supermarket coke.

erm blind trails lead to people picking Pepsi as it sweeter, its what led to coke changing in the US, then back tracking fast to the original recipe becoming coke classic, as while most will prefer the sweeter taste of Pepsi for a glass or two a lot find it more sickly than the slightly less sweet coke classic in the long term.

that said I prefer Pepsi especially diet pepsi over diet coke

I used to much prefer Pepsi but it doesnt take like it used to. I dont think theres much difference now TBH. Old Pepsi ftw though!

I agree, well sometimes I have diet coke if I want to look slightly less of a fatty.

I think Coca Cola need to bring back vanilla coke! Omg that was amazing!!

Isnt "almost 51%" also known as 50%?

We buy cola at home, and as a force of habit whenever out I ask for a coke/cola. However I always find that when the place only has pepsi, I tend to prefer it. Similarly usually when round my siss, who prefers pepsi, I enjoy that too.

No idea why I keep buying cola tbh.

I like Pepsi but it is too sweet, makes my teeth feel funny.

I can drink the diet stuff from all the them but all research on aspartame seems to be looking bad.

Pepsi continues to do the Pepsi challenge and being the slightly sweeter drink more people stated a preference for pepsi after consuming a small sample. However yes they are basically the same drink and there is essentially very little difference between them. AFAIK when consuming a larger quantity coke is preferred and when the brand is revealed there is a greater preference for coke.

Diet Cherry Coke (I love the fake flavour for some reason), and Diet Coke for me.

I was once told bad things about normal coke, and since switching to diet I have lost a fair amount of weight, as I drink quite a lot each week.

coke is quite calorific, but heres the issue. diet coke isnt calorific, but it does contain aspartame which is recognised to be a weight loss inhibitor.

there is mention of a bit of research above about aspartame, would appreciate a link.
