was looking for a recipe for chocolate brownies, and found this one:

http://www.recipezaar.com/50264

Im going to give it a go, will report the results later, but check out the nutritional info bar.

I figured initially that they are just very bad for you (as one might expect for a chocolate fudge brownie), but no, look at the "serving size"

1 dozen

So apparently a batch of these will serve 12 normal people or 2 Americans.

Actually they had it on the news today - Austrialer actually under official study is currently the most overweight country which apperently has alarmed them

Quite surprising really

Heh, funny, Ive just been on a hunt for a cookie recipe...settled for chocolate chip banana cookies :D

Let today be baking day!

Mongoose

sounds good Zpyder, let us know how they turn out!!

My brownies are pretty good, I give them  :ptu:  :ptu:  :ptu: , but could be a lot nicer if one had some nuts to add before the final baking, or chocolate chips for the real chocoholic.

My initial impression was correct, anyone who can eat a dozen of these babies in one sitting either has something wrong with them or is already a fat bastard.

Id say  :ptu:  :ptu:  :ptu: /5 for my cookies. Theyre edible, but they arent uber. The banana gives them a slight twist, and I think it would have been much better if they were more ripe (recipe suggests overipe). They also turned more into a jaffa-cake kind of texture than a cookie/biscuit texture. Still, Ill not be embarressed to take them into work tomorrow and dish out :)

Serious

I normally make chocolate rice crispies cakes with 2*100grm bars of 74% cocoa dark chocolate +1 200grm bar of 45% cocoa milk chocolate and a 400 gram bag/box of rice crispies.

Feeds one - me :P

Although it usually takes almost a week to finish it off :)

Quixoticish

I always use rice flour for cookies, it gives them a lovely smooth texture. And the secret with any kind of chocolate or plain cookie is a healthy pinch of salt in the dough.

zpyder

Aye, pinch of salt was in there. Can kinda taste it on the edges of the cookie slightly (but in no means does it taste salty). I used a wholemeal flour with bits of oat in. Maybe I stirred the mix a little too much which resulted in the slightly cakey texture!
