I must be getting old.... the best I could do this year was trying to eat chips and gravy which were too hot.... putting the first chip in my mouth I realised it was too hot, but tired to swallow a it instead of spitting it out... and chocking on it so it burnt the inside of my throat
(it still hurts when I swallow)

Chips and gravy, lovely

I've just got major muscle strain from the absolute mental dancing I was doing, dreading when the pics and vids end up on Fb.

Not at New Years, but last year I did burn my throat out for a week by drinking half a jar of brine following a pickled onion eating contest Yes, I was drunk of course

I decided to be very nice and go teatotal for new years eve. Woke up new year's day with a stonking headache and nausia from sinusitis 

Have made up for the lack of drink then since
