The best thing about facebook for me at the moment is keeping tabs on all the people at uni I hold in contempt. It always brings a smile to my face to read their status updates on how behind they are on their dissertations

I use it all the time - it puts personal email, msn and text messages all in one place and saves clogging up every other system with arranging nights out and seeing photos from parties.

And tbh if youre friends arent idiots you dont get too much spam about silly apps.  90%+ of notifications I get are something important/useful.  My email inbox doesnt come anywhere close to that level of usefulness even with the best spam filters.
