If the french, for example, invaded england, stole all of the peoples land, murdered HALF of the entire population, appointed landlords that allowed the populace to die under their rule, made it law that none of the majority of the population could be represented in government,  Im sure there would be some animosity there too!

The Irish (land-owners) sold the Irish out - just like the African warlords sold the African people out to slavery.  Its often convenient for people to bury facts.
 

From what I remember from school some pope allowed some king to invade ireland because they didnt pay their fees to the church, then something with black death, then henry 8 invaded again, couple of wars, then they had the plantation of ireland where they sent people over to take the land over?
