Hows everyone doing with the floods today?

Im in Gloucester/Cheltenham area and weve has 60mm in 6 hours and an expected 40 mm more by the end of the day.

My house is fine but we are pretty much cut off for the time being. My mum is currently being rescued from somewhere around Gloucester after her focus filled up with water. Hoping she gets back ok.

Anyone else having problems?

Had a nice flow of water where I live but all the rivers and lakes are away a bit in Blaby (Leicestershire) And I am in Wigston But I bet around Blaby area has flooded again

Has anyone actually had a string of days where it has been what you would class as sun bathing weather? Had odd day but nothing solid at all, sucks

DEViANCE

im at the top of a mountain but all the routes at the bottom where under half a foot of water on the way up about an hour ago.

Sam Says he does not watch tv, so its odd he says no news, he does not watch it so of course he will not see it, so its an odd comment to make anyway :)

Water seems to be slowing now.

Mums new focus had to be abandoned in ~3ft of water. Going to go back and see whats left tomorrow morning. There are cars everywhere round here, nearly all roads gridlocked with people trapped at both ends by floods, even my uncle in his swb Landrover TD5 couldnt get home from mine (under 2 miles).

Going to be lots of cold people in cars tonight.

i think its safe to say if your uncle got stuck in a landy, he doesnt deserve one. tell him to get a suzuki cappuchino.
landys can keep going with the wate  over the bonnet.
