id guess that the car wasnt stuck more the traffic was and he couldnt get round stranded cars. takes a fair amount to stop a LR even with a n00b behind the wheel

There was 4ft of water, the landy doesnt have a snorkel so he parked it up and got a lift on a tractor. Better that than flood the cab.

what annoys me the MOST about the rain is that there is noone to blame for it. That makes things easier to bear.

It sickens me to get my s/s zorst covered in muddy rainwater so I drive anything but the 2

We non-drivers can always blame you lot for creating global warming... :P

Anyone think that this will prove to be one of the wettest years ever?

Were not too far from the river in Twickenham, and the boss is getting a bit edgy... flood warnings for West London and theres a lot of rain on the horizon so were thinking about moving our server to a co-location facility. (Zen in Manc)

That would be because London is important and a few bread and dripping miners arnt

Luckily for me I live on the side of a hill so I would need some drastic rainfall to get flooded.

I do have relatives living in Tewksbury, which is practically an island right now and a lot of lanes and small B roads around me are flooded which is stranding a lot of people in the small Hamlets around the place.

With the River Severn still rising things look to get worse before they get any better.

if you get water in the air intake shell still stop like anything else. Quoted maximum wading depth for an unmodified LR is 500mm. Better than just about anything else, but still not enough for some of the recent flooding.

now with a wading kit that would be another matter. There seemed to be a fad for fully kitted out landies with mud plugging tires and snorkels a few years ago.  I bet not one of those vehicles went anywhere useful over the weekend.
