So I've just updated the forums to use PHP7.1 / mysqli, all seems well but if anyone notices any strange issues let me know!

Rolling back as apparently its causing problems with sessions / logging in/out

There is a proper forums update on the way (apparently) which should mean I don't have to hack it to death, so I'll stop tinkering now.
