I just ordered one of these.  My normal shavers blunt blades are getting a tad irritating and seeing as the gf loves my stubble (and a new set of blades is Ã,£30) I thought Id grab one of these.

Plus I like the sound of TURBOVAC!!11!1!1!   8)

Anyone ever tried a beard trimmer?  Do they work?

That is all.

Ive used a normal hair trimmer in the past but with either just a 1 shoe or none, works great. the 1 shoe is probably best for stubble though.

Trimmers seem to work well enough too but are smaller ;)

Trimmers with a #1 or #2 guard are all you need for stubble, also good for keeping siddies in check with a #4/#5 guard

My wayward sideburns shall be tamed.  And women will flock to my bedroom in greater numbers than ever before.  This pleases me.

I have a professional grade cordless trimmer that does both top and chin amazingly. Blade quality, motor, and battery life are important, and the GSX Ultron does the shiznit. Fairly rare and usually only sold in select shops, I cant recommend it enough. Strong and sharp. Battery charge lasts forever as its pro-grade. Not cheap, but worth it.

I use one of these, a babyliss 700xte with titanium blade
and turbo button (for extra thick hair), for hair and beard.

As an engineering student, I know more than anyone that when choosing a complex mechanical product, its all about the name.  Man, I thought Ultravac was good, but GSX Ultron?!  Thats something special!  :D

As for Babyliss; well, the fact that they need to tack "men" onto the end of the name says it all really  ;)

They do mostly products for women :)

Hey, that looks like me on one of my bloated days!!!

"GSX Ultron" is indeed a corny name, but its an amazing clipper. I cut my hair at least weekly, often more, and a charge lasts for months. Swedish steel blades and strong motor in a tiny package. Looks cheap, runs great.

You can often find the best quality clippers and such by going to a barber/hairdresser supply shop, and avoiding the subcontinent electronics discounter that also sells breadmakers and "muscle" masagers.
