It's on again and look what treasure I found ;D

My track record hasn't been amazing following Matt's uncle's tips - which is as good as any idea in this lottery - but its a good bit of fun and my bit of gambling for the year.
Who's in? :ptu:
http://www.oddschecker.com/grand-national-betting-odds/winner <- odds table, remember generally the odds tumble as the event closes in.
Usual disclaimer stuff of don't bet more than you can afford to lose, etc
My uncles in Ireland following a family death so I have no idea if I'm going to get anything from him or not, I have text him...
TBH we may just do better picking out the most TEK appropriate horse
Off my own back I've had small bets on Bishops Road & Wonderful Charm.
I've just gone with Betvictor again as they place up to 6th:
SHUTTHEFRONTDOOR | 14/1 EW |
WONDERFUL CHARM | 50/1 EW |
GALLANT OSCAR | 16/1 EW |
Good luck to anyone else placing a bet :ptu:
I've gone with the above, Bishops Road was a well fancied first reserve but of all 40 horses none pulled out so is not starting (money back of course)
Result: Epic fail  Better luck next year!
Ah the grand national - every year the infamous Matt's Uncle with his horse tips trots out - and fails to get anything right. So next year, we should devise a scheme whereby we get all the "hot tips" we can muster from any source, and then bet on the one that is least fancied ;)
It is a total lottery really, but its good fun and having some 'tips' whether good or bad makes it easy to pick. You've not got a bad idea, a group poll sort of thing.

TBF, as above this year I heard nothing from him, and it was still a crapout
He was away as his Auntie died at 99 and a half, bit like cricket really, just failed to make the ton
You can't argue with 99.5
I'll take 75 tbh

Oh yes 99 is a stunning effort, marbles not lost either, it gave me an idea for a thread...
