Exactly. Im considering a revision/addition to the technical forums, as this place was built by geeks and overzealous tinkering nutters. Now its got no real identity other than its members - its just yet another chat forum for people to blog at.

Theres only a handful of us left really keeping the tech side alive with helpful and knowledgable posts.

How about splitting up software and development & then wed have 4 technical forums

might be better to have a General Software (or just plain Software) forum - basically functioning in a similar vein to the General hardware forum ie. topics like teh new SP for Vista is gehy discuss etc.. and then a separate Development/Coding forum where people can discuss programming topics.

Currently weve got coding questions mixed in with threads about DVD burning software or a video of Windows 7 - which, IMHO, is a bit random.
