My old compy (2.13ghz core 2) decided to stop working just after startup. I restarted, it shut down again.
Couple of more goes and I got around to opening the case...
The HSF had come lose on the upper mounts, leaving the CPU totally uncovered. Quick remount and it appears to work fine. Seems like the heat protection really does work on this one ^_^
