anyone know of any (cheap) fireproof insulation ?
to about 500C
all the stuff I can find costs a fortune... sold by the square inch etc...
I need about 8 squate meters :o

it needs to be used for insulation around what is basically... a 500 litre chip pan....
.... theres the side of the tank, then an air gap (heated from under so hot gas passes through this gap) then I was thinking, thin sheet of stainless steel, then insulation... then wood :-)
(p.s. already bought nice stainless steel tanks to use)
(p.p.s. I could buy some already done... but prices start at £10k!)
