QuoteAn initiative filed by proponents of same-sex marriage would require heterosexual couples to have kids within three years or else have their marriage annulled.

Thats crazy....  Essentially they are are saying that if a man and a woman want to get married, they cant if one of them is infertile!

QuoteUnder the initiative, marriage would be limited to men and women who are able to have children. Couples would be required to prove they can have children in order to get a marriage license.

lol I love it! AS silly as it is theyve totally pointed out how stupid the argument that marriage is only for the purpose of procreation is!

Top marks for genius!

i would make it the other way round, you can only have kids if you are married, to have a kid out wedlock would force them to get married...

get rid of divorce

let those buggers that sleep around alot be bundled with partners...

would probably curb alot of the clubbing culture of pulling someone

:D :D :D

Prove by a means of geting a test done to check for fertility.

Its not crazy, its an initiative that wont make the lawbooks, just make people think.

Here in Tennessee, we just passed a third law last fall preventing gay folks from having any legal recognition of their relationships. Its downright ridiculous--but American conservative Christians are just obsessed about denying gays rights.

Weve discussed this in part ad nauseum, of course. A lot of people arent comfortable with gay folk, and thats something you cant legislate away.

Personally, I live in a wonderful neighborhood in N*shville, thats historically gorgeous, and happens to be heavily queer. Near half of my neighbors in the surrounding blocks are gay couples. The hood is awesome, not because theyre gay, but because we have a great number of committed couples that take pride in neighborliness. Sexuality doesnt make a lick of difference. We love our neighbors around here, and pick up the dog poop regardless of the lawns sexual preference.

In other news, my neighborhood is very economically diverse, with properties ranging from 80K to 3m. All sorts of shades of brown and taupe to boot.

Youll find similar neighborhoods of decent Americans in just about every million persond city over here. Theyre damn nice places to live.

They not only have to be fertile but capable of doing the act too, at least thats how I would read that. There are a very few people out there who are married but have never had sex. There was also a very odd case of a man who was willing to have sex with a woman before they got married but not after

lol   be a bit much that.....

I was thinking about this

Quote"For many years, social conservatives have claimed that marriage exists solely for the purpose of procreation ... The time has come for these conservatives to be dosed with their own medicine," said WA-DOMA organizer Gregory Gadow in a printed statement. ââ,¬Å"If same-sex couples should be barred from marriage because they can not have children together, it follows that all couples who cannot or will not have children together should equally be barred from marriage."

"Dosed with there own medicine".... lol

This is a bunch of bitter homosexuals who thought they would be smart and take advantage of a claim that can be modified, words can be added to knock there daft point into last week.....

"conservatives have claimed that marriage exists solely for the purpose of procreation at any given time!" after marriage......

With a man and woman marriage, most of the time children are a possibility, why this initiative have chosen 3 years and tagged a timelimit on bringing life into this world is just another saliva drippled pointless point remark.
