Id extend that to all religions TBFH

I just have a problem with any religion that:

1. Claims moral superiority over others for any reason whatsoever.
2. Denies scientific fact.
3. Believes that their particular holy book is the inerrant word of their invisible sky god.
4. Cannot play well with others.


And throw the Unitarian-Universalists in with the lot, as most of them are nattering assholes.

But seriously, Islam needs to be modernized or suffer the consequences. Same goes for holy rollers of the Christian faith that are taking the religion *back* to the dark ages.

I think any religious fundamentalist is a bit wierd.

I dont have a problem with religion - Im a sort of non practicing Christian myself. But Islam does tend to be very much stricter - other comparisons might be people bought up in catholic bording schools and home schooled southern US kids in bumbuckville alabama.

More of it is cultural though - the middle east is a f**ked up region run by people that frankly ought to be rounded up, wrapped in pig skins and stuck on a big bonfire. But looking at Tunisia and other north African states and youll find fairly progressive Muslim cultures. It isnt so much Islam IMO but local interpretations/adherence to it mixed with tribal bullsh*t and customs that date back hundreds of years.

True, theres always the Turkish model*!

Sorry but IRA and others kill people for a belief or land, people kill women, children and they are evil and should go to hell when they die even if they feel their cause is right

Over there and that area of the world it is fine for them to kill themselves and others and for kids to kill themselves to kill others and that is an even more demented mind set for me and far far worse and its is cowardly

And ignoring the reasons that got them there the Troops in Iraq are now there to help Iraq, if they left right now they would be back into the stone age, but currently right now they are not only killing each other but killing people to help them
Not only killing troops but killing, kidnapping, beheading people actually there to help them and spending their time rebuilding things for THEM but they dont care they just want to kill them and again for me that is an arcaik(spelling?) way of thinking and aspects of it I just do not understand at all.

Ireland is much like aspects over there like Israel and Palestine, issues over religion and land and look how it was handled at the time of when it was really bad (I mean you can only fall to a handful of bad cases like bloody Sunday not the weekly issues you see on news of Israel killing kids for throwing stones) and what they have achived now and america, UK and others have tried to help these guys sort themselves out.

Look at the Gaza strip,  A number of countries pumping money and resources to try and help them out

I know deep rooted agendas like oil in some places exist but tbh they are just blizzard, down around that part of the world they are all determined to kill each other, anyone else that is around and as I said just such stone age atitude to life. It took a complete loone and tyrant like Saddam ruling a country in a very bad way but actually that kept them in check, give them democracy and they just want war.

So yeah, BOOOOOM!
You cant say "leave them to it" because it would just spill out to other countries but they just want to destroy themselves.
