Just wondering as I was leaning towards Computeach a while back before I read all the horror stories, not to mention steep prices.

Im looking at going with them as they offer discounts on their courses as I earn less than Ã,£26k a year, any saving is a saving :D

ERU

Ive been thinking of this too - anyone?

I looked at it and it just got confusing for me, so I just enrolled on a part time degree at another university.

My girlfriend studies @ open uni. She got a full grant for her course in the first year, and was about Ã,£300 this year.

There are 4/5 tutorials a year and an exam (per module).

Shes doing English something or other.

Dont do computeach or itskills or skillstrain or nitlc or owl or er any distance learning IT company. DO NOT!!! PLEASE AVOID!

The courses they offer are able to be done for around Ã,£400 using amazon and paying for your own exams, they will charge anything in the region of Ã,£5000+ for crap.

OU is a respectable establishment and is an actual university, not a sales company.

I did an OU course several years ago, it was one module and it was paid for by my School.

I looked into continuing the course, however it was a great deal of cost.

I think its a fine degree, if you have the money and now the fees for uini have gone up I think its a competitive solution to going to Uni.

Exactly the reasons I dropped the Computeach thingy like a hot potato with added hotness. :)

Im looking at starting a Level 1 in Computing, then build up to a degree. Their website seems to have the ability to build a course frame, so I can plan how I start and how I finish. I just want to make doubly sure that I end up with a useful qualification ;)
