She was a great role model  and an inspiratrion RIP.
I have no idea who she is.
I dont really care who she is either TBH
i havent heard of her either tbh
She was diagnosed with terminal cancer 17 years ago - but she was mainly known for all the fundraising she did during this time whilst she was going through treatment. She did a lot of walking and cycling treking across the world to raise money for cancer research. She was mainly known around here as she came from Leeds - but she made headline papers a few times.

Well lets just hope people dont say that about you when ya time comes ;)
Ignore egg, hes just an old and bitter dried turnip who doesnt care for anyone but himself. Hes the one who would be complaining why me? when the reply is who else?

She did a lot of good raising funds and awareness of cancer and what you can still achieve suffering from it. Lived her life to the full as everyone should try but managed to get the press to take notice and let everyone else know what you can do if, even if you are terminally ill.
Brave woman...
Sad.
Shame she couldnt hold out for tomorrow, Steve Irwins death will always be remembered before hers.

I could give a flying f**k what anyone thinks when my time comes.
Ive lived my life to how I want to live it & not how someone else wants/expects me to live it.

funny how you jump on this bandwagon & you got the basic fact wrong.
7 years not 17. My guess is you had no idea who this woman was until you heard it on the news this morning.

oh sh*t yea, she was on the news before
i kno who she is now
Inclined to agree with Serious on this for once. If you dont know who she is thats fair enough, but if you dont either know or care who she is then dont bother posting in the thread.
I wonder if egg would have anyone turn up to his funeral

My guess is she remembered it off the top of her head and didnt quote the article ad verbatum. This isnt Princess Di all over again, its someone with genuine humanitarian goals. Homouring her memory is handly bandwagon jumping when she started thread in the first place.
RIP a brave women.
Oh and I agree with Serious on this one.

Nope you were quite right there it was 7 years ago when she got diagnosed with terminal cancer but 17 years ago when she first got diagnosed with breast cancer. Thank you for the flaw!
Didnt badabing or soopahfly try fundraising for her?
I remember her from that. :) Damn shame. She put her heart and soul into making life better for others.
