And then you get the clever kid that puts their head up and gets a nice blunt force trauma to the side of the head

Dave

hardly - the brick is decelerating to rest at the point where it gets back to the chair - even if some super mong of a special needs kid deliberately moved his head forwards with the intention of hitting the brick it still isnt going to do any real harm. It is just scary from the POV of the kid sitting in the chair as it starts back to towards the half way point and is still moving towards them...

pah!

I got a bollocking at school for walking around with a lump of radionactive stuff in my hand while everyone else was using tongs....

my excuse of "tongs are gay" didnt fly tho :(

what about steam power / pressure ?

theres loads of little gismos that she could use,

and you can have pictures of big steam pistons.... a lot of them run on really low pressure (like 15psi)... telling them they can power a 2000 horse power piston with the pressure from there kettle at home is always good :)

plus theres boiling some water in a container, sealing the top as it boils, then cooling it off.... give it a min... then just touch it and itll crumple up... defenatly had the wow factor in person.... especially when you let a kid squuz it and it squashes

actually

now i think about it

all these ideas are naff.... :(

is it a 55min presentation to a big group... or 55min of kids walking past ?

lol @ dave. its at that point that one of the windows allows a gust of wind to blow the brick into the kids face :D lol

And some paranoid school teacher is going to take any apparent risk, no matter how small?
