well, its EDS, Fujitsu, Logica & 2 others who I cant be bothered to look up. For what its worth, I dont work for EDS directly.
They just palm me off work that I do on their behalf, all done through a 3rd party.

Its General Dynamics and I think EADS. I sold a lot of cabelling and network hardware through Fujitsu for it and provided a lot fo Cisco maintenance,

but yeah Im sure EDS will screw it up somewhere lol!!

Its an "interesting" contract certainly.

....or just remembering the Inland Revenue tax online disaster. Actually an old friend of mine (used to be our old bassist) was a hugely important member of the EDS team looking after that (he was an American who was sent over here to look after the project) and I remember when it all went tits up. He was proper shell shocked that it had gone so wrong and thats why he had to move back to America ultimately.

He did throw a mean party though - Im sure Dooms will agree..... :D

Theres some interesting reading to be done around that issue, as to why EDS actually lost the contract; mostly relating to exit terms in contracts and government concern about single-supplier monopolies rather than any technical reasons.

nah, they have a few large offices near me, couple in Preston, and a couple in Lytham.  The level monkey they employ makes me Not Surprised that they f*** up so royally.  Doesnt matter how smart the higher up people are if the foot soldiers are retards.

I used to work for CSC, and they where just as bad.  These days I work for a smaller company, pay is better, conditions are better, and if i want an afternoon off i just ask.  Also the work is more varied as we are expected to actually fix everything that comes our way, not just log anything that takes longer that 10 minutes to someone else.

There are quite a lot of mongs who work within EDS. whenever I need to speak to them over the phone, quite often I hang up & redial in the hope of speaking to someone clued up on the product they are supporting.

Im not bothered, cos It means more money for me. If they cant get the information right the 1st time, then I still get paid

EDS & Fujitsu - I would not touch with a barge pole, both a bunch of stitch-up fkers and the agency eds use are sharks.

Bitter, but I stitched them back :D
