Merry Christmas to those of you who regard themselves as Christians

Happy Yule for those of German Pagan following

Happy Winter Solstice for all the other pagans

Tough to the non believers, you don't believe anyway so why should I offer you any greetings?  :P Happy 25th of December anyway

soopahfly

Christians shouldn't celebrate Christmas. It goes against some passage in Luke about worshiping god the same you do other gods.
Seeing as they stole christmas from the pagan winter solstice.....

There are four gospels, not all of them states that Jesus was born of a virgin. It is accepted now that his mother wasn't a virgin, even by some in Catholic Church. The issue of her being a virgin was almost inevitably a mistranslation. There is now an incredible number of virgin births every year. Every time artificial insemination takes place in agriculture the animals are virgins. There are cases of women accidentally inseminating themselves after non penetrative sex.

The Date 25th December was not his birthday, it was placed there much later to cover up numerous pagan Winter Solstice rituals. Truth is nobody knows exactly when Jesus was born but it most definitely wasn't 25th of December.

12 disciples, again, a 'fact' added later by the Roman Catholic Church. There seems to have been several female disciples!

Performed miracles, how do you define a miracle? In quite a few cases someone has thought, 'here's a good story, let's change the names and it will look like it's ours!

Dead 3 days and resurrected, Who knows, there have been numerous people who have been declared dead and found later to be still alive.

Truth is there has been a lot of invention and additions within the church regarding Jesus. We can say that there was someone who the gospels are based around. TBH there were dozens of 'mesiahs' during that time period.

Oh he missed the one big thing, just because a lot of the stories about someone may be fictitious it doesn't mean that the person never existed. There are lots of people who we know to have lived but the surviving lore/myths are untrue. Obviously a lot of the stuff written about the Roman emperors was made up, as was the documentation that the Roman historians created about the other peoples. This is incredibly common.

During WW1 a writer produced a story about a group of Angels who protected British soldiers from the germans at Mons, it was later published by someone else with the details that it was just a fictional story removed. Even into the sixties and seventies people were still in the belief that the story was true.

St Patrick was claimed to have driven all the snakes from Ireland, a total fiction, but did that mean he didn't exist?

At least some of the stuff we put on here is complete lies, look, Knighty has a really big dong, see? A big lie. Doesn't mean Knighty doesn't exist.

I agree that the title is quite stupid :) but that isn't the point really, there are a lot of stories about "gods" all told by humans there is also stories about great people who did good things, Gandhi, King, etc.  nothing of this proves there is Gods or a God, that is the point really IMHO. If there is a god and the same think I live
my life wrong or sinful or something he/she/it are welcome to tell me, not other people, especially those who
cannot prove an existense of a god but claims they know the will of god !!!
