Got sucked into the Carphone warehouse today after spotting a poster in the window.
So got my self a Black Sony Ericsson S500i with 200 any time any network minutes and 200 txts for £15 per month and I get to keep my old number.

Its actually £30 per month but every 4th bill you get £60 cashback, so works out £15.
Ive never had a contract phone before because I have one of those 300 free txt for £10 topup payg sims that where free ages ago and hardly ever need to phone people.
Pretty pleased tbh as it is a really nice phone and I just usually have the cast offs from my misses contract or the cheapest tesco one and its only £5 a month more than I spend on my PAYG phone.
I hope this isnt one of the ones where you have to harass them to get your cashback honoured. Sounds like a good deal anyhow.
Oh yeah if youre within the same network no service provider will give you a PAC code to keep your number. Every provider wants to improve their new subscriber figures so they dont issue PACs internally. Basically youre forced to change networks every time to keep your number.

I am swapping from 02 payg to 02 contract.
the guy at carphone warehouse said exactly what you said when i asked about keeping my number but 5mins talking to jodie from 02 on the phone she gave me my PAC code and nearly her number lol.
I have never had any problems getting cashback from carphone warehouse/ e2save.
Im on my third contract with them now. I got 200min 200txt with 100% cashback plus I went through quidco so Im £36 in profit overall :)
I saw a good deal the other week, free K800i with 400mins and 400 txts for £0 after cashback :o
It was with a company Id not heard of before though.
