A few weeks ago a guy elbowed me in the face at football training.

Didnt think much of it as accidents happen etc...
Although I didnt know exactly who had done it, I had an idea.
Last week, that same person made a very obvious attempt at elbowing me in the face again but just missed. Again, I said nothing and carried on, giving him the benefit of the doubt.
Tonight, he again elbowed me, this time in the chest. Ive said nothing yet though I was really tempted tonight.
Bare in mind, absolutely no one else has ever swung an elbow at me at training. I dont even know this guy at training(still dont know all there names as I didnt know a sole until I started and every week there is someone new.)
Thats it though, if he attempts to elbow me next week Im going to have a stern word or two and if he does it again Im going to break his f**king arms!
kin hell sounds like you mean business

Has the chap taken a personal afront to you? or he is just an all-round ball-sac?

I have no idea what his problem is, never spoken to the guy. Just seems as though every time I challenge him for a ball out comes his elbows.
sounds like hes just a t**t then
Not that I condone violence in any way but kneecap the prat. "Keep your arms to yourself and Ill keep my feet to myself. :)"
ive played footy every week with strangers for years, and you find that some people just have nasty habits of raising their arms/elbows when going in for a challenge or even just running with the ball. alot of the time i think it isnt deliberate and they dont even know they are doing it, just a bad habit.
call him on it, and tell him to watch his elbows.
Zidane him.
Just pull down his pants. Everyone will laugh with you and he wont even dare start a fight. Especially if he a prick to the rest of them...

Seconded :)
violence isnt the way forward. threats of violence is.
"if you dont find a way to keep that elbow to yourself, ill make sure you never play again pal!"
that should put the wind up him.
menacing threats do more than actual violence, even from someone as unscary as me. just got to be the right threat.
Matt
Your window of opportunity with the good violence is gone. Personally Id have f*cking decked him the first time.
If it happens again ask him if hed like his next set of teeth in gold or ivory.
You have a couple of options as stated.
1. Do nothing.
2. Have a word.
3. Threaten him.
4. Elbow him back.
5. Headbut him, preferably on the bridge of his nose, sometimes causing the blood vessels around the eyes to swell, meaning he will struggle to open his eyes for a few hours. During this time you should replace his atheletes foot powder with caustic soda, and his deoderant with bug spray.
I know which Id do (if I had the balls for it).
jump on his ankles during a tackle.
screw ankles. Jump in his face!
or do this

just go in hard on him BEFORE he tries to elbow.. just show your not a soft touch. If hes on the floor, help pick him up & pull his underam hair the same time :D

Dont pull the hair you pinch the skin underneath the top of the arm - Roy Keanes favourite trick apparently. Watch them get sent off for swiping at you!!

I have to say Id agree with this. If you dont know they guy its very unlikely hes targeting only you. Have a word with him (if you pissed off the word might be more effective).
You spoken to anyone else in the team, like whos that c**t that keeps elbowing me when he tackles?" Will probably get them watching more closely for the next time that it happens and some support if it all must get serious.
