Should also say, another good example of the Tory government coming through for the common working man.

Shame on anyone who voted for Brown and his bunch of shysters.

It doesnt make any difference, they are all as bad as each other no matter who you vote for and what they give with one hand they will take away with the other. None of them represent the views of the "common working man" at all, it just appears that our current government knows how to placate that particular demographic more successfully.

Not really, for every person who says something along the lines of "yay for the tories" therell be a few dozen who find something bad to moan about them still!

True. It never ceases to amaze me how far from the fence people choose to plant their flag in support of either Labour or Tory, and the fact that they will never change their view no matter what actually happens in British politics is astonishing.

Youre disenfranchised which is a shame.

Nothing has happened in Britain to make me want to vote Labour. In fact the past 10 years has made me less likely to vote Labour to 0 now.

Nothing has happened in Britain to make me want to vote. Personally my better half and me suffered quite badly under labour. We just seemed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, higher education got shafted by Labour just as we were leaving for university, and its been pretty similar for us throughout their time in power. Were doing much better under the Tories, (or will be in the not too distant future) especially since shes now a teacher and theyve made some really good reforms in education.

Despite this though I just cant shake the feeling that whilst its been good for us so far other things will suffer or other changes will be made that will impact on us quite negatively in the future, hence my comment about what they give with one hand they take with the other. And I think this is true of politics in general, theres only a finite amount of resources/capital/manpower/time/stuff to go around so somewhere in society someone will always be getting a raw deal when sweeping changes are made, a perfect balance would be impossible to achieve.

I think weve dragged the thread off course enough anyway, this is really a discussion for another topic.
