In a shop in my neighbourhood, you can have cutting done, complicated they just figured out how.

Headline " He is making the impossible possible"

haven't they been laser cutting that stuff for ages ?

my mate has a laser cutter and it can do glass

This is done by water cutting, he first in skandinavia doing it.

what I meant is, it's advertised as a breakthrough... but either it isn't or I'm missing something ?

(might be the first water jetting it, but laser worked for years)

Yep, they have been able to do that for quite a bit with water, although often a sand water mix. Many companies also cut metal plate the same way.

The question is scale, normally the machines are huge and expensive.
