Whatch the price difference grow as Seagate start marketing Maxtor for their low end sales, and focus the seagate brand on high end sales.

This was just expectd anyway, they were never going to take over the company without using it.

sortof fitting after Maxtor did the same thing to the once mighty Quantum Fireball. Wonder how they like a taste of their own medicine.

I can remember lusting after a Quantum Fireball 512MB drive after I got my first PC (33mhz sx Cyrix) in 93. Would have cost me about Ã,£500 for one so the large for the time 170mb drive remained until I got a 1GB Samsung.
