As opposed to the microphone, the world wide web, the computer, the sewing machine, the bicycle, the hovercraft, tubular steel, the screw propeller, radar, DNA fingerprinting, the Newtonian telescope, the planetarium, penicillin, disc brakes, the adjustable spanner, the internal combustion engine, the jet engine and the steam engine, electric cells, the flushing toilet, the micrometer, the seismograph, the elastic band, the speedometer, canned food, the smallpox vaccine, the dynamo and (most importantly) custard and the sandwich?  8-)

I think God beat us on the hole. He inserted a larger one into females though.
