It is still not time for it yet Mark.
I love dropbox a lot but it can be dam annoying in a number of areas.

Though I am opening myself up to ridicule:

Try to imagine more beard and a carrying-commandments-from-god vibe.
It's all fun and games until a 200' robot dinosaur shows up and trashes Neo-Tokyo... Again.

Try 20 to 30 years minimum at the present rate. Im not against Cloud computing, but its the old terminal server stuff pulled up yet again.

Just had a play with an ipad in Currys. Did no one else think theyre a lot heavier than they expected? Wouold certainly provide arm ache on a commute.

I couldnt find a comfortable way to hold it use it, im really not sure the form factor makes sense for anything except quick lookup tasks.

Saying that the interface is very slick, as expected its a larger version of the iphone/touch OS but it works as youd hope. I cant think of a use for it at the moment (at its current price). It would make great home automation gizmo, one of those on the wall as a control would be ace and cheaper than current solutions.

Trend in our case.  From all of the ones Ive used over the years I still prefer Sophos.

No it aint. A lot of confusion is around because people are labeling everything and anything as being in the cloud. Think of it like bolt ons, so for example,

 - you get 5 PCs and a server for your start up company with basic OSs and nothing else but a internet connection.
- you need a backup and DR plan so you go for a hosted backup service rather than a tape drive and Symantec. You save both employee time and money and have a demonstratively solid backup solution.
- You want AV but dont want to bog down your system. You go for hosted scanning. Same money, less headache.
- You want antispam, same as above.
- You want Exchange mailbox features but dont want to fork out loads for licenses or pay someone to set up and maintain it all. You go hosted exchange.
- Office phones... VOIP

..and so on, so in this example you get a rock solid IT solution pretty much in a box, you pay your monthly fees and you and your 4 assistant estate agents can concentrate on selling houses instead of faffing with a flaky tape drive or wondering if its worth paying someone to come in and update their antivirus.
I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.

Probably configured wrong tbh - all the AV vendors share AV defs now. We are a trend and sophos reseller (one of the top 3 in the country in each), and trend is a much better seller. has worse support though. Sophos is too expensive.

Are you using V10 with smartscan server?

Had a go on an ipad yesterday when I was in PC World fixing a till. It looks nice and all but I found it pretty pointless, and the instore Tech Guy tried to load a (pretty crappy) game up on it, it took around 2 minutes to load. They really are just a large ipod touch.
