Title: The Anti-Cookie
Post by: zpyder on September 16, 2009, 17:43:48 PM
Whilst in the shower, a thought struck me. Right in the nads.

Im not much of a physicist, at all, so much so Im not actually sure how its spelt.

But I remember reading/hearing about anti-matter, where every matter has an equal and opposite anti-matter, and if brought together they would cancel each other out.

So, how about an anti-cooke?

The basic premise being the opposite of a normal cookie.

Im thinking...melt a load of chocolate down and pour into a cookie shaped mold. And then whilst it sets, place chunks of biscuit into it.

Technically, if you were to introduce the above to a cookie, youd just end up with a disc of chocolate and a biscuit, and hence, the anti-cookie.

Im wondering whether to take this one step further and make it fractal, a bigass disc of chocolate with cookies as the chunks...

Theoretically you could have an anti-cookie but you couldnt eat it. Storage would also be a problem containing enough antimatter to destroy a reasonable chunk of a large city.

Antimatter would react with any matter, even the air.

Antimatter may be the same as real matter but going backward in time, at least according to one hypothesis.

I thought anti-matter was theoretical so in MY theory it only reacts with its direct opposite, so an anti-cookie is perfectly safe to eat. Unless perhaps you are the cookie monster.

Slightly off topic, but Im glad its not only me who has some of their greatest thoughts in the shower ;)

Depends on if your Aunty made them, if not then all antimatter is the same and itll go bang.

This could result in some discomfort but is highly unlikely as your head will be instantly burned to vapour. Chances are they wouldnt find enough of you to make a thimble full.

Prefer the bath but effectively the same.

iirc a particle accelerator has created anti-mater before just in incredible small amounts

Not only created but used in medical equipment, like PET scans.

CERN has produced enough to light a light bulb for several minutes.

Coated in the orangey bit stuff.

Hmmm.

Its tempting to try and create a range of opposite confectionary where the main ingredients are switched around...

Obviously chocolate cake, white chocolate but the orange jelly would have to be swapped for something really odd.

What about a twix, biscuit on the outside with a layer of caramel on top and a rod of chocolate through the middle.
