Everyone else gets Wine & Chocolate, got 12 Bottles of £9.99 wine on Half price then 25% off, so didn't pay much

Bit stuck on what to buy my old man, got him a Makita Cordless Drill last year, then the Makita drill bit set for his Birthday, but don't know what to get him now! Budget is £50!

Landed in the trap of buying rugby world cup tickets for my sis and bro in law. £100 down and have nowt to show for it.

So now have to spend another bunch of money sorting out actual tangible presents they can unwrap. Doh!!!

Girlfriend is in a right mood with me at the moment. Sent me a link to an eBay item she wanted, so naturally I nabbed it, then emailed me the moment I bought it (days after her email so she must have been watching it) asking if I'd bought it.

I said "sorry I didn't see your email in time" only now she's in a huff because I didn't check my emails enough.

"Well you were on Facebook all last week, you could have at least checked your email!!!"

Looking for some DIY stuff for my dad, adjustable sawhorse x2 and horizontal rule/guide/clamp bar thing.

I've bought the missus some old tat off eBay, a Hans Christian Andersen fairy-tale book from 1931 and a music box from 1896 (she likes old crap) and I got her some M&S pjs and stuff too.

Folks both sides are getting a load of m&s stuff in a hamper basket, expensive but I'm using up some vouchers and we're gonna pad out the nice stuff with some morrisons/lidl crap.

Not the brightest flash on the planet but it does video and can be used as an emergency torch.

My elder brother's older camera had problems with focusing in low light, it didn't or couldn't strobe the inbuilt flash and wasn't provided with a focusing light. Gave him one of these for Xmas. Set to constant on provided enough light to take photos. It works and he's happy with his camera finally. As built in flashes usually don't have a constant on option these are useful for videoing.

Should be able to rig a bar for using two at once to give a sort of cheap ring flash.

Cheap camera doesn't have a screwmount? get a suitable nut from a diy store and stick it on

You can get a cheap ring light for about £20. I have one works great for macro shots and the constant light means that judging the exposure is easy as it stays constant where as with flash unless it supports TTL or something your camera supports, you're down to manually judging what the exposure is like.
