Title: The Pickup thread
Post by: Bacon on October 31, 2009, 12:19:09 PM
Saw this on another forum, but i like the idea to see what other people purchase month to month

You post a picture of the items you have spent your hard earned cash on this month.

Online / Retail store bought items. (could also link to the store page if online)

I have a genuine interest to see what other people do with their money, i only know the obvious stores but i bet there is plenty of stuff out there that i dont know about :)

Disappointing......  :disappointed:

Assumed from the tile this was going to be a thread about enticing young ladies back to your abode - not what cool gadgets youve picked up this month....  :mutley:

Anyway - will have to edit this and post pics later but have got some fake blood, fake wound kit, fangs etc.. from a fancy dress shop in roder to dress as a vampire this evening.

One rather expensive chinese meal for my parents and me last night

2nd of October when I went to london for my first ever gig was an early birthday present. I got some moolar from my sis and her BF to spend on Tat, got the first series of the horror movie classics vinyls:

Castle crashers the other day to play a friend whos just got an xbox and is a graphics designer for a flash games company:

WGPS606 the other week to get my printer sorted out over the network:

Trek 6000 bike today

The 6000 is the bike i was looking at back along when i bought an MTB, its a nice bike specced bike for the money, and the frames are very big/long :D

I basically went in and asked what old stock they had, it was the last thing that they had in a frame size that would fit me from the 2009 range. The alternative was a specialized hardock which was maybe £100 cheaper, but significantly heavier and had slightly worse components. Pretty happy with it though Ive only given it a quick 10 min ride today. It weighs as much as my old bike which was I think actually a kids bike, considering it was a present for my 13th birthday >< Certainly I felt like I was riding a BMX almost.

Fully intend on cycling around the new forest and the likes this winter if I end up out of work for any time. Before it was a bit too much hassle what with having a micra, but now I have the means :D Im just a bit pissed off with how the NF has strict cycle routes and £500 fines if youre caught off of them. I can understand the reason behind the erosion, but at the same time I think there are many routes which are suitable for bikes which wouldnt be subject to erosion if they were cycle routes. Thankfully Im located that if I get fed up of the roads and gravel tracks in the NF theres other, smaller forests and plantations which AFAIK dont have any restrictions on them. With any luck my geocaching signature will increase somewhat in December :D

Yes, the diablo is quite small.  Not tried beans in it yet, but Egg, Mushroom and Salmon is nice.

Better than a sandwich toaster as you can lob it in the dishwasher when your done.
Also get more filling in it than a toaster. :D

http://www.thediablo.com/ Is their website. It uses the majorty of the bread methinks (from last time I saw one years and years ago) Its like that because they are deeper filled than normal toasties.

That keyboard certainly looks sexy. The only thing wrong with it is the ergonomics thing. Im sure its a dream to use, but Id hate to get used to it and then have to use a keyboard elsewhere (at work for instance) and end up doing typos when ive gotten used to the split-ness!

For the price of them Zpyder you could buy two of them for less than £50 and have one at home and work. This is what I did, although like you I removed the bottom plastic stand. Without it the keyboard feels a lot better to use. I highly recommend the ergonomic keyboard from MS. Very hard wearing to, the one I have here at work has had 4 - 5 years of abuse and its still going.

that little lot are all freebies from MS (Windows mobile training, and I work for a company that qualifies for the reward scheme).  Just waiting for them to get delivered this week some time.  Im not too sure about the keyboard either, but if that doesnt suit me ill fleabay it, and pick up one of the sidewinder X6 boards for £9 inc P&P the the expertzone incentives.
