Regardless of my ideas, my kids come first, Playboy is trendy, so I got it for them.

Its because they have successfully created a new Image for themselves in style and have played down the soft porn.

Strangely enough its happened because of the porn.  They are well known for getting good looking and important women to model for them so they get linked to good looking and important women. They have also never went too deeply into pornography and have tried to achieve an upper class appearance at all times. For anyone who hasnt seen a copy they interspersed a few short modelling photo sequences with written articles about things like physics and history. Then you have the playboy bunnies, sexy but they arent available, they are exclusive.

Subconsciously women want to be important and good looking, many also want to be playboy bunnies, so they buy the stuff.

Girls see women wearing it and they want it too, it doesnt matter what the underlying message is providing it looks good.
