Whilst my laptop is chugging away stitching together some photos, I'm stuck pretty much.
So here's a couple of questions to get some discussion going.
In the scenario that time travel is possible, if you could send *something* back to the past (any point in time, any location), and bring *something* from any point in time and space FROM the past to the present, what would it be, and why?
To make matters worse, the butterfly effect applies. So it's probably safe to say you will be around for the "bring something from back from the past" scenario, but I'd say the chances are if you send something back to the past, things will change enough to mean you won't be around to appreciate the result, so whatever it is will need to be a totally humanitarian (or dickish) thing to send...
Here's a big one then. A device capable of undetectably making perfect copies of all the texts in the Royal Library of Alexandria. Note copies, it would leave either the originals or undetectable copied versions there so no effect on causality.

Gotta be other good options though. Another option would be the dead sea scrolls - some were burned and others so badly damaged as to be useless.
I would send a fully automatic anti-asteroid device from the future back 65 millions years to blow up the asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs. The device would look like some sort of gigantic mini-gun that shot nuclear missiles at 600nm/s. Dinosaurs are cool and should be brought back.
I would then bring a WWII era battleship back from the past to go fishing for f**k-off ocean-dwelling dinosaur sharks, megashark style!
One sec, I'm pretty sure we wouldn't be around if that happened :worried: :o :panic: :panic:
...So what's wrong with just grabbing some dino eggs? ??? Don't forget to send me six for my breakfast specials - one egg feeds all omlette? :ptu:
Have you guys learned nothing from bttf?
Send a sports almanac back :)

I like Pete's idea. I'd bring forward the younger Arnold Schwarzenegger so we could get some decent action films again, in return I'd send back someone we all can't stand, like Justin Beiber (we could vote on that). To the dark ages.
