I can understand your situation and your anxiety to recover. We were ( almost EVERYBODY IN India )on Holidays for last eight days and so could not reply you. Thanks for your email. I cannot send to UK. Better you send somebody to my clinic personally to collect medicines. I will give first six months medicines free, and if he is happy and shows improvements then I will take my fees.

I really hope this works out for you Privateer, but were I in your shoes I would want to know what the fees are going to be in 6 months time before I started.

Actually thats probably not true, if I were in exactly your position I would want to take any chance I could at getting better, but looking at it from outside, make sure this guy doesnt take you for a ride. Theres just something about "We work with professional ethics and for humanity and patient is a God for us" which doesnt quite ring true for me, perhaps Im just getting cynical in my old age.

I didnt go with sam.... but I did go with an American girl who I met while I was in America with sam

(pity she lives over there... she was awesome)


anyway.... iirc my flight was about 300quid with BA and a half decent hotel is only about a tenner a night because of the exchange rate - everything is dirt cheap here.... when I went the smallest note I had was 500 rubies.. about eight quid...  when I was leaving I had loads of time to kill... so I took a 2 hour rickshaw ride to the airport... it came to.... 130 rubies !  lol

from my experience... no one will try to steal from you etc... but you need to ask how much something is / a taxi ride is before you get in... quite a few of them will try to rip you off... I was asked for 2500rubies for a 50rubies ride...

also, youre not allowed to take India money out of india... so can;t get it before you go... you but theres an exchange in every airport.... go to the first one you see... and itll but out of the way of all the taxi drivers etc.. to look to see how much you get and try to rip you off... I got £400 in Indian money and was pretty much swarmed

I certainly understand where you are coming from with that but... It makes people like Privateer very vulnerable to medical scammers. I very much doubt if this will have any effect at all except from being a drain on resources.

In a large part Im in a similar situation to Privateer, with an incurable medical issue. I would be overjoyed by finding an actual cure that worked. Main difference is Im a bit more sceptical than he seems to be.

Any doctors practice of any real size would have more than one doctor and a reply service in case of absence, they wouldnt just drop the whole business for over a week. The Indian health service does not close down for a week every year.
