As bear says prefabs can go up in a day providing the foundations are finished. Wood built houses can take a little longer.

the curing process is quite long, if the cement is stable then it can be built upon. 6 months is a good time imo. i know they use a modern process in the foundations involveing a magnesium compound. however if they add to much it will create a weaker more brittle compound.
