I used to love my samsung T100, only thing wrong with it were the side buttons for changing the volume (which my keys used to press) appart from that it was perfect, untill it broke :(

so i replaced it with a motorola V3, which i hate, worse side buttons, I press them all the time, it crashes at least once a week, and its... just an all round gay phone

I almost just bought a new T100 on ebay, but changed my mind at the last min,

so what should I get ?
needs to be a flip phone, with no side buttons, and big buttons for my big fingers!

is there anywhere i can go with a db of phones i can stick preferances into and itll find me one ?

I dont need any fancy features, i never use the ones i have :o

Sites like The Link & Car Phone Warehouse have search facilities iirc.  Flip phones these days are mainly made up from Motorola :gag: & Samsung.

HTC STRTrk

QuoteWeighing 99 grams and just 16mm thin, the STRTrk (Qtek 8500) combines model looks with a business brain. The main body of the handset is matte black whilst the coloured metal outer shell has dedicated play, fast forward and rewind buttons as well as a backlit 1.2? TFT LCD for viewing and controlling music play-lists. A MicroSD memory slot offers the choice of storing additional tracks in ACC, WAV, WMA and MP3 codec formats using Windows Media Player or direct over air downloads.

Once opened, the STRTrk sports a larger backlit 2.2? QVGA screen for viewing familiar MicrosoftÃ,® Office applications via Windows MobileÃ,® 5.0 (Pocket OutlookÃ,® and Office Mobile, which includes PowerPointÃ,® viewer , ExcelÃ,® Mobile and Word Mobile). Add crystal clear resolution and you?ve got a screen that is ideal for reviewing images taken with the built in 1.3 megapixel camera or surfing the net to download data using Quadband EDGE/GSM/GPRS and Bluetooth for a smooth and hassle-free ride.

Accessing MicrosoftÃ,® Office and full direct push email couldn?t be simpler. Users are able to sync in with MicrosoftÃ,® Exchange 2003 servers that run on Service Pack 2 to connect to their PC. What does this mean in the real world? Consummate professionals can run their lives through one device rather than carrying a separate phone and PDA. Peter Chou, President of HTC concludes, ?We?re so close to the idea of ?carrying your world in your pocket? that we can almost touch it.?

Availability:

The HTC STRTrk (Qtek 8500) is available from week three June, 2006

nice phone, loads of extras ill never use, but looks like i could set the menus up to just the way id want them, (phone book and text mesages only tbh)

only thing is, im not paying the Ã,£360 price tag!

at the rate i break phones, ill end up spending 5k a year or something stupid like that !

:(

All phones are around that price, when you buy sim free.

Contract and PAYG get the phones subsidied.
Smartphones never seem to be that expensive on PAYG.

how about something tough like a Motorola v60 or v70 (70 is sweet) or the Sony Ericsson Z600.

All are rugged, tough phones.

Theyre not top of the range, but have little features (phonebook and texting, they can just about manage) and shouldnt have many side buttons

Moto i usually slag off for using the same software on everydamn phone. It lacks features. But as your not after features im recommending the V60/V70.

All phones im on about are <Ã,£50 too.
