As title, How far is to far for holding a door open for someone?

I personally think anything over 45 degrees is obscene  

Sometimes I will do it up to 10 metres. Usually though I will make an effort to hold it for men as often as women to avoid preference. If you only do it for the opposite sex in a company it can be regarded as sexist, unless its the boss - in which case its tree climbing

Ive seen Chinese (or Oriental anyway) people walking together, one approaches the door, opens it walks through and lets it slam in the face of their companion, who doesnt so much as blink.

I think what poses a much bigger problem is manual revolving door etiquette, for which it appears that every man for himself is the order of the day.

if someones directly behind me ill hold the door open, depends if im in a rush

Yeah, I get this at work alot if Ive just had to pop outside on the way back in I always end up holding the door open. If theyre not on the raised path coming up to the door (about 7-8 metres) then I wont bother. I have things to do! Usually Ill just let it close if I think the door will be fully shut by the time they get there

And I almost always say something if Ive stood holding a door waiting for a customer to go through and they dont say anything. Theyll get a very sarcastic "THANKYOU." from me.
