I cant walk and carry things, so my carer pops to the shop for me, the shop is around the corner, hes away for 10 minutes, but he has to stop doing that, its not caring, hes here for an hour at a time, but I can book longer for chats, thats caring, but me starving is OK.
So did you tell him that?

It was my social worker who said it, she said get meals on wheels.
From what I gather meals on wheels are supposed to be pretty rank though.

They are and expensive.
*sigh*
Why do people feel they have to tell people how to live & others to do their job?
Change the carers job title to home help & then they prob. can go down the shops for you.
Political correctness again.
Really wish someone had the balls to steam roll into power & turn the clocks back 30years.

I blame my Social worker, she knows me, she could easily overlook it.
Just thought, my carer might trip on his way to the shop, he cant sue anybody.

what if your carer goes before they come around & just out of curtesy asks if you want anything in the shop while they are there?
But why is a social worker telling a carer how to do their job?
I cant get my head around that.. my milkman dont tell my postman how to do his job
I can see not cleaning windows and such things to be left out but not shopping !!! can he as a carer take you out for a trip in your wheelchair ?

Being disabled is very different, my carer fils in forms and takes them to his office, his office submit the forms to my S/W and gets paid, per minute, he spends here, its those forms that caused it from now on hell not say he goes to the shop.
Over the years Ive had a few Social Workers, my current S/w is crap,
years ago my good S/w set up the carers.
