Is that the one on Fossgate?

Out of interest, how busy are the football free pubs when things like this happen? One down the end of my road has a sign saying "Football free zone"...just curious whether they tend to be deserted, or packed full of the people that want a pleasant meal out without a load of people cheering and chanting etc.

They tend to be very busy but packed with a rather sedate and peaceful crowd.

Are you being sarcastic and mean normal people?

The type that tend to hang around in pubs (IME) are the troglodytes that chant and bash the tables when anything remotely interesting happens in the match. Or is that just for the premiership games?

Ah, I just googled it -

Quotei. The sound like that of huge swarm of bees is made by fans. It is their way of supporting their team. It is particularly done by African people and is a part of their culture.

ii. The sound is a combination of sound from a horn called Vuvuzela and the sound from constant singing by thousands of fans together, like in a choir, which sounds like humming.

iii. The fact is, it will happen for almost every single game (particularly in those where African teams are playing).

iv. The good thing is that it is not that bad. If you think deeply, youll find that it adds to the very spirit of Football and symbolizes Africa. Every nation and every culture has something unique, its identity, and that should be enjoyed in its true form. Think yourself to be a part of Africa and youll start liking it.
