Got 4 preorders in with different places as not sure how many are going to be available, alot of places have actaully stopped taking pre-orders (currys, game etc) due to the amount the already have so doesnt look like there is going to be many around for launch.

Well my non pre order plan worked! Got one off the shelf in Tesco last night (after 12.00 of course!)

Looks pretty cool so far but will properly play with it tonight. Its sturdy though Ill give it that - even takes my ample frame without problem.

As cool as it is, it really does come across as a joke for a good workout.

Maybe, but it comes down to:

My mum bought an excercise bike, a cheap one, but still, it cost a bit more than the Wii Fit. In a year, she clocked up a total number of K that I doubled cycling on it in 30 mins.

However, I can easily see my mum using the Wii fit, if she could just figure out how to turn the console on. When she says "I need to do some exercise" I laugh as I know full well she wont, but if we had the wii fit I might have to think again! - Thats the kind of market I think theyre aiming for. People that want to get properly fit will go about the traditional ways. Maybe this will be a tool for introducing the couch-potatoe generation to proper exercise, with baby steps to start...
