Christian Bale is to play rebel leader John Connor in three sequels to the Terminator franchise, its producers have revealed.

Bollocks. There should be some sort of rule against this. T3 was gay enough.

I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.

There is a remote possibility that with Christian Bale on board and possible decent directing, that these may NOT suck ass. After all, Sarah Connor Chronicles worked out pretty good!

I dunno, but on the different grounds of whether sci-fi nowadays looks cheesey. Things like BSG are ok as they tend to have urban or rural settings (or inside ships), but could Terminator films set after the start of the war just end up looking like a load of people running round a scrapheap for 2 hours?

DEViANCE

they need to get rid of the stupid female terminators, it just doesnt make sense!

sarah c chronicles sucked imo.

Could work but Im not going to get excited just yet

I like the sound of these. Taking a step away from the traditional storyline and jumping us right into the post apocalyptic future many years after T3, and Christian Bale makes a perfect John Connor to my mind.

Bale Picks his movies quite well tbh, some may not be massive hits but be cult hits, Equilibrium not one of the biggest films ever but quite good and has a good underground fan base.

I think them not messing about and trying to latch on anything past Terminator is a good thing and him and the setting of the start to the end of the war over 3 movies will work very well.
I do not know if many know the very crap video game that was set at the start of skynet and the first 2 legged terminators etc.
Basically it is humans fighting them and loosing / loose - slave caps, mass exterminations and resistance to resistance fighting back and defeating sky net so you can spread it over three movies and if you have done that you got a rich source of story there it seems planned.

Agreed, not getting my hopes up though. I really liked Equilibrium, even if only for the Gun-Kata. :)

What was that one with Milla J in it that was all green screen? Tried to rip off the same fight style and while some fights were good it was total crap

A Gun-Kata? Do elaborate, Ive not seen Equilibrium and that sounds intriguing.

Have you not? It is indeed not the most filling film in terms of story but its one based around the fighting concept which there is a good amount of and basically with the actors there is bulks up the film to be as said a good cult following movie and in the end not a bad one.
Worth a watch, you will like the Gun-Kata, more films with it in I say.
