No doubts, "its my life" is a good effort, but not even close to the original, which is one of my all time favourite songs...

Most people think Jersey Girl  that Bruce Springstein recorded is better, it certainly sold better, than the maker of it, Tom Waits, singing and playing it, I dont :)

Ill add FLC - We Have All The Time In The World. Not just a fanboy one this, hearing it live is one of the few times you will hear such a fabulous song performed with credibility and spine tingling trumpet playing. Armstrong is gone, but the song lives on 8)

"Love Hurts" covered by Nazareth, but written by Roy Orbison. Nazereth version is surprisingly better, but certainly cheezy.

"Long Black Veil" was covered by Joan Baez back in the beforetime, and her crystalline voice suits the song better than johnny cash.

Neko Cases cover of "Train From Kansas City" is better than the Shangri-Las.
