Im after a new keyboard as the keys on this logitech are failing on me

I will use it a lot and program a lot and use it for graphics work (hence why my ctrl and c seems to not work all the time ^^) and becuase of my bad hand I could do witht he palm rest feature some have.

Dont want cheap cheap but not over the top Ã,£50 so from Ã,£5-30 I am willing to spend but dont have any idea whats nice or not

Any ideas?

Pete

I got one of these off ebay:

And its really good. I go through keyboards like theres no tomorrow and its the fav cheapy Ive had so far.

I rest it flat on top of a few dvd cases and its the perfect height for me. Wristrests piss me off, having a couple of soft mouse mats along the keyboard works better imo.

Ebuyer have some usb keyboards for about Ã,£3 with the crappy plastic rests.

Otherwise just get one of these + whatever logitech you like the look of. I know you said not cheap cheap, but Ive never seen an expensive kb that went much beyond gimmicky.
I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.

Microsoft Wired 500.  Should be able to stand up to some abuse.
Combined with a gel wrist pad :D

Looks nice but some ppl get "headaches" from black keys apparently, work-shy bastards that they are.

Cheers for posts so far

sdp I want a nice one to last but due to my hand issues the wrist things actually really help it how it is and will be bad for months to come still :/

I should add the other information really shouldnt I

Black or silver and wired.

Pete

Id go for the ms one tbh out of whats on ebuyer then, even though I hate this ms mouse with a passion.

The gel rests are more durable and more fun to hit people with, and theyre better for you than the plasticy ones because its a soft surface.

fwiw if youve got a duff wrist typing is probably one of the worst things you can do.

Been reading reviews on..

It seems the keys are nice to press and the adjustable guard seems nice as well.

I buy keyboards from the late 80s from thrift shops. The action is far more positive than modern kit, and they cost less than a liter of milk. Depending on the construction, you can just run them through the dishwasher and let them dry in the sun before use. Modern stuff using polyester films as contacts will not survive such abuse.

Thumbs up for the microsoft wired keyboard.  I can recommend the Media Keyboard.

I can recommend the Microsoft Natural Multimedia Keyboard. Its a damn beauty, definately helped me when I got RSI. :)

I have the first one out of those two, it is a fantastic keyboard. As long as you can type properly, there is barely an adjustment period. The palm rest is very soft, almost leather like. Cant recommend it enough.
