Im after a handset for my folks so they can call me on skype while Im at uni.  Its gotta be:

Wireless
Relatively easy to use

What should I be looking at?  Are the dual landline/voip ones worth the wonga?

Do you mean cordless like the dect type jobbies. How many handsets?

Well, I rarely use Skype anymore, I use a Grandstream Budgetone 102 softphone for work and the Handytone 486 for my main landline which use sip accounts and plugs into my regular phone.

Cheap fo sho. Skype phones however require a PC to be on (if I remember rightly) which is a bit of a pain.

//www.voipstunt.com is sip based and gives free calls to UK landlines for 5 hours a week, however some conditions apply but it is still cheap. I dont talk that much tbh!

Im after skype.  Keeping it simple for the folks, both our computers are on all the time usually anyway.

DECT would be nice, and only 1 handset needed I think.  We already have 2 DECT landline handsets.

Careful as most USB skype phones simply install as an external sound device. When its plugged in all the sounds will be played through the phones speaker and not your sound system.

Or when you follow their installation instructions to the letter.
