well put Serious, like you I will be running XP into the ground. Im hoping that by the time XP is unviable desktop Linux will be so well supported that I wont have to take much if any hit in the 3rd party software department when I finally remove M$ Windows from my machine for the last time.

All this talk of new copies each time you change hardware is all scare-mongering.

Remember the ill-informed hype before the release of XP?

...same thing.

"Our intention behind the original terms was genuinely geared toward combating piracy; however, itââ,¬â,,¢s become clear to us that those original terms were perceived as adversely affecting an important group of customers: PC and hardware enthusiasts," White writes. "You who comprise the enthusiast market are vital to us for several reasons, not least of all because of the support youââ,¬â,,¢ve provided us throughout the development of Windows Vista. We respect the time and expense you go to in customizing, building and rebuilding your hardware and we heard you that the previous terms were seen as an impediment to that - itââ,¬â,,¢s for that reason weââ,¬â,,¢ve made this change."

Awww.... bless
