Astronomy pics

I absolutely love the primal wonder and Im thinking about getting a print of photon worshippers.

Id love to order prints of some of those, they are spectacular.

They are superb. I was thinking, how can I take pictures of the night sky. Id love to zoom in loads onto planetary objects.

I only have a 75 - 300mm lens however.

You would need to get a mega lens for those, not just zoom, but I have taken some before, and get nothing like that, just dont seem to get enough lilghtin and ling exposure just results in the stars rotating across the sky

If you had a telescope, and have an SLR, the mount thing I use to connect it to my microscope is the same for telescopes pretty much. You could get some good shots of the moon that way I guess.

You would have to get enough light in to get your shutter speed down though, the moon moves quite quickly when looking through a telescope

To start you dont need more than that to do some astronomy. Just a tripod, remote release and be prepared for very long exposure times.

Being well away from built up areas helps too. If you really want to splash out you need an 8"+ telescope and adaptor to attach your camera.
