New 50D, body only but in kit box and Im not 100% convinced its never been used but seems in perfect condition, my manfrotto mono and the eos 3, can see the old 3 is still significantly bigger than 50D

In all the excitement i havent ordered a CF card so cant actually take any pictures.. doh!

Nope im paranoid, just checked the shutter count with eos utility, 6.. well thats just me messing about then.

I need to get a part for my motor and then Ill be able to get out and about and take some photos apart from whats in walking / bus distance from my house.

I think I can do that tomorrow however.

What are you planning on taking pictures of first?

Had my pseudo party today so have now got to play with the manfrotto tripod.

Initial thoughts are:

Its effing heavy
It exudes quality
Its built to last

Pretty happy with it, now just have to find the time to use it!

I was reading on BBC News the other day that all recent Cannon 50Ds have a huge PRODUCT RECALL going on at the moment! This sounds like yours too ... There is a problem with the flux capacitors on them and they could spontaneously explode. Someone has already lost an eye! You need to submerge it in 10m+ of water pdq to neutralize the potential risk. After that you need to contact your retailer and ask to have your dodgy product exchanged for a more reliable Nikon model.
PS: Heh I bet I had you going for at least a bit there. Im only a little jealous.
